The 2021 BMW m440i will soon be available in North America. This luxury sports car has undergone significant changes compared to the older 4 series models.
The biggest change in the m440i is the so-called “large-mouth” “butterfly wings” grille. There is more to the car, however than just the frontal aesthetics.
The Pro model has all the finer things found in the standard M sport model, plus it comes with an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission enabled with sprint function.
This means the car will have excellent acceleration and the beautiful roaring sounds of a powerful roadster.
The 2021 BMW m440i will also have M sports brakes and state-of-the-art Harman. To spice up the looks, the buyer will have an option to add a black 20-inch M Performance light alloy wheel, a carbon fiber grille, black aero pieces, a front splitter, and the iconic M performance tailpipes.
At the same time, the manufacturers have added a touch of class to the interior. You will have a choice of M performance steering wheel wrapped in carbon fiber and suede, a carbon-fiber trim, and door sill plates.
Now to the more substantial parts of this amazing athletically built vehicle, the M 440i will be powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, which will give it close to 382 hp.
To get the luxury car moving will be a 48-volt hybrid system that will provide a tiny boost of power at low speeds.
The one universal feature with all M 440i models will be the all-wheel-drive system, but BMW has promised that a rear-wheel-drive model will be released during the latter part of 2021.
While the regular M4 will come with an option for a manual transmission, the M440i will only have an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Road trials suggest that the M440i is as quick as a sprinter off the blocks, has excellent handling on curves, and is comfortable to drive.
So far, the only two negatives of the M440i include the distinct grille and the powerful hypersensitive brakes, which cause the car to suddenly slow way down.
The M440i is not yet available in North America, but it is expected to arrive anytime this summer.
While BMW has not yet released the exact price details, insiders indicate that the BMW m440i price will have a base of $59,495.
By the time you drive the car out of the dealership, expect to spend an extra $5K-$10K for some seriously upgraded options. Its main competitors will be Lexus, Audi, and Porsche.
