The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe was first spotted at the LA Auto Show in November 2019, and not only did this compact coupe turn some heads with its sleek four-door styling there, but the fact that British buyers started getting delivery of the BMW 2 Series in 2020 has certainly made a splash. In fact, just last month, many began seeing the new BMW series in their driveways, and one thing is certain – people love this model!
Like many today, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe offers three different trim levels – the Sport, the M Sport, and the M Performance. You can choose between diesel and petrol, and all of them come equipped with front-wheel-drive and AWD architecture. The entry level option offers some pretty series power in the form of a 1.5 liter, 140 hp engine. It can move from zero to 62 mph in just 8.7 seconds. With a top speed of 134 mph, this three-cylinder turbo can make all the difference when you’re on the road.
If what’s under the hood doesn’t convince you this car is worth all the press, the exterior certainly will. It has 17 inch alloy wheels and a gorgeous aerodynamic style. Inside you’ll find some pretty fantastic features as well like front and rear park distance control, Active Guard Plus with Lane Assist, and the standard BMW Connected Package Plus. The 10.25 inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay is pretty amazing as well.
No matter which model you choose, this is a fast, exciting new addition to the line that you’re certainly going to want to consider parking in your driveway.
In many respects, the all-new BMW 2 Series Coupe, now available at Braman BMW, is the grandson of a legend. Back in 1968, BMW was a small, struggling European automaker – until they introduced a model called the 2002. The model proved wildly popular worldwide, selling more than 300,000 and becoming the company’s first big hit. The 2002 was a sporty, two-wheel drive coupe with fresh, clean styling that appealed to drivers who wanted a sports car, but had to deal with practical considerations like family and luggage and weather. And, as it turns out, there’s still a big market for exactly that kind of car – and a convertible version will be available later this year.
