2021 BMW X5

What’s New in the 2021 BMW X5?

The fourth generation of the BMW X5 with a new plug-in hybrid option will soon be available in the US market. Also referred to as the BMW X5 xDrive45e, it has several new features which include the following:

New Plug-In Hybrid

  1. Outstanding performance: Initial testing reveals that the BMW X5 plug-in hybrid is more powerful than the earlier versions. The 4th generation comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission coupled with a new 3.0-liter six-cylinder capable of producing 389 Hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, which is a nearly 20% increase over the older generation.
  2. Increase mileage. With a larger 24-KV battery, it will also double the EV-only range to 30 miles, up from the previous 14 miles. After this point, the gas engine will jump into action.
  3. Top speed: Another significant improvement is the top speed while in the electric mode which has jumped from 75 to 84 mph. Plus the luxury car can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, slicing off 1.2 seconds from the earlier versions.
  4. Besides the superior functionality of the car, other new features in the 2021 BMW X5 include a comfortable interior with heating options in the front leatherette seats.
  5. The adaptive LED headlights and the panoramic sunroof are two other features that make the 2021 BMW X5 look elegant and sophisticated.
  6. Also included is a state of art infotainment system with a 12.3-inch screen, frontal collision warning, daytime pedestrian warning, rear collision prevention, blind-spot detection, and lane departure warning.
  7. Several optional package features are available that include active cruise control with stop and go, parking assist, head-up display and gesture controls, and laser-light headlights.

The 2021 BMW X5 is considered a luxury vehicle with a starting price of $66K. While several thousand dollars more expensive than the older generation X5 plug-in hybrid, this newer model has many additional features that may appeal to buyers who want to operate a high-performance EV every day without having to use gas. BMW X5 7 Seater

Which BMW Has 7 Seats?

Looking for a 7 seater SUV? You’re not alone. Between the kids, the sports equipment, the groceries, and everything else your life demands, you deserve to have a little extra space.

If you need that additional space, you have two good options: the BMW X5 7 seater and the BMW X7.

The BMW X5

The X5 doesn’t come standard as a 7 seat SUV, but you can certainly get it that way. You just need to select a third row of seats as an option.

There is enough space for some storage with all seven seats upright. Depending on the model you choose, you can get a little over 47 miles to the gallon.

Similarly, performance varies by model, but the xDrive50i comes standard with a 4.4 liter engine and can reach 60 in 4.9 seconds.

The 2020 BMW X7

The X7 offers a standard third row of seats. The company expects this edition to be so popular that they even extended the rear doors to make them a bit larger for easier access to that third row.

U.S. buyers have two models available – the X7 XDrive40i and the X7 XDrive50i. The former comes with an inline 6 with 335 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.

The 50i has a V8 with 456 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It can hit 60 in 5.2 seconds. Both, though, have all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Buyers looking for those seven seats, though, may be more concerned about  what’s inside rather than what’s under the hood, and what you’ll find is guaranteed to impress.

You’ll find plenty of space and luxury at every turn. With a 12.3 inch infotainment display, as well as four-zone climate control (the five-zone system is optional on all models) as well as a three-panel panoramic sunroof, this is a beautiful interior. You can also add-on captain’s chairs for the second row, but it does drop the overall capacity of the vehicle.

It also comes with a two-section tailgate with an electric opening and closing mechanism.

Which BMW is right for you? If they’ll both fit your family, come take a test drive today to see which one fits your style!

2019 X5 | Top Luxury Midsize SUV | Braman BMW West Palm Beach, Florida

2019 X5 a Top Luxury Midsize SUV

BMW’s 2019 X5 is a top luxury midsize SUV on the market. Edmunds calls the X5 “a benchmark for the modern luxury performance crossover SUV.” Kelley Blue Book praises the new generation’s improved “off-road chops.” US News analyzes reviews from multiple sources and declared, “this BMW delivers a combination of performance and luxury that few rivals can match.”

Performance Designed

The 2019 X5 marks the fourth generation of BMW’s largest model (until the new X7 comes along). The starting inline-six engine is more than powerful enough at 335-horsepower, and the 456-horsepower turbocharged V8 engine gives you an incredible option.

As always, no BMW ever ships without precision handling. The 2019 X5 exemplifies this with powerful grip, exceptional performance, and surprising smoothness even in weather or on rough surfaces. As Kelley Blue Book mentions, the off-road handling is at the top of its class.

Many want to stay with a gas-powered vehicle, but they also want good mileage. The X5 earns superb fuel economy in its class: 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway. The fourth-generation X5 can also tow up to 7,200 lbs.

Riding in Luxury

What about the interior? The X5 wouldn’t be a top luxury midsize SUV without impressing here.

The build quality is superb. The overall quality is exceptional and impressive. BMW has a knack for clean lines and avoiding making the space over-busy. They’ve lapped their competition when it comes to presenting technology in a refined, uncomplicated way. Not everyone else has figured that out yet.

Panoramic moonroof, the vaunted iDrive infotainment system, a 12.3-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, 10-speaker hi-fi audio, navigation, Bluetooth, and more are included standard.

The X5 can seat five in its starting configuration, or up to seven with an optional third row. Alternately, you start with an impressive 34 cubic feet of cargo space, or a monstrous 72 cubic feet with the second row folded down. Space is used intelligently to give you a great deal of adaptability depending on what the situation needs.

Check out the 2019 X5; we can promise it will not disappoint!
