Everyone loves a good story. The story of the 2016 BMW 3 Series plug-in hybrid is a good one.

For years people have relied heavily upon gasoline to get from point A to point B. But we’ve finally realized that this resource won’t last forever. Compounding the problem, it isn’t exactly environmentally friendly. BMW has been right along with this and has since sought out ways to make new cars. This also gives them the chance to innovate like never before. Rather than just thinking up different designs and how to build a better engine, BMW now gets to build a better car all around.

Now we have the up and coming 2016 BMW 3 Series plug-in hybrid. Car folks are eagerly awaiting more details as BMW still has this baby under wraps – quite literally. Recent spy photos have taken a few shots of a BMW 3 Series hybrid, complete with camouflaged body paint. They’re already hard at work providing the BMW i3 and BMW i8, so the 2016 BMW 3 Series plug-in hybrid is simply one of the next steps in their lineup. After all, electric cars are still in their infancy when it comes to technology, so the 2016 BMW 3 Series plug-in hybrid is most likely ready to help customers who need to drive farther and can’t utilize just a battery for power, but still hope to be more environmentally friendly than before.

We still have yet to hear about the specs on this car. Moreover, most speculation about it is based off what has already been seen with the BMW X5 plug-in hybrid, or at least something similar considering that the X5 is part of BMW’s SUV crossover lineup.

Until BMW announces their new design – most likely at the next big auto show – you may have to settle for a BMW 3 Series from the Braman BMW dealership in West Palm Beach. Then again, it’s a BMW – so are you really settling or getting something more?
