All-New, Second-Generation Sports Activity Vehicle On Sale At Braman BMW This Fall
The second generation of BMW X6, the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe, will go on sale at Braman BMW in the Fall. Big news includes a new rear-wheel drive X6 sDrive35i and improved performance for the V8 X6 xDrive50i.
With global sales of 250,000 X6s to date, it is a clearly a model that the marketplace has embraced. In additional to an updated and even more extroverted design, the new X6 introduces the first rear-wheel drive model in the line-up with the X6 sDrive35i, powered by BMW’s 300 horsepower TwinPower Turbo inline six. It joins models with xDrive, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel drive system – the BMW X6 xDrive35i and the X6 xDrive50i featuring BMW’s updated 445 horsepower TwinPower Turbo 4.4-liter V8. All models are equipped with BMW’s 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission. The new 2015 BMW X6 will again be produced exclusively at the company’s production facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The 2015 X6 is offered in two trim levels, xLine and M Sport. As expected, the M Sport goes for a sportier look with gaping air intakes and matte aluminum trim. All 2015 X6 models will come standard with 19-inch wheels, and will offer 20-inch wheels as an option.
2015 BMW X6 Styling
Like the updated exterior styling, the X6’s interior design matches that of the X5 with a wide, fixed infotainment screen, a large gauge cluster pod and a clean overall look. Accenting the cabin, BMW offers trim that includes brushed aluminum, Fineline Striped Wood and Fineline Oak Wood. For utility, the three-passenger rear seat is split 40/20/40, and with the seats in place, rear cargo capacity is rated at 20.5 cubic feet; drop the rear seats and available space is increased to 53.9 cubic feet.
Customers can choose from two non-metallic and nine metallic colors for the body paintwork of the new BMW X6, including the new-to-the-range Dark Olive and Flamenco Red Metallic. Available as an option for the new BMW X6 are aluminum running boards. Optional Adaptive LED Headlights can be specified for the new BMW X6.
