January 31, 2014

The all-new, smartly-styled 204 BMW X5 all-activity vehicle has been in short supply at Braman BMW since its debut – but not anymore.  There are now more than a dozen X5s in stock, ranging from the new fuel economy-oriented xDrive35D diesel-engined model to the high-performance M Sport model with body kit, big wheels and tires and a 455-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine under the hood.

“The 2014 X5 has a variety of features that our customers have been asking for, including improved fuel economy, a more intuitively-placed door lock button and the new touchpad controller for the iDrive system,” says Brian Wallin, New Car General Sales Manager at Braman BMW in West Palm Beach.  “We now have the first S-drive models with rear-wheel drive only, the Blind Spot Detection system is now available and even versions with third-row seating in the back for kids.  This is a great time to come into the dealership and explore your options.”

Models include the rear-wheel drive, 300 horsepower X5 sDrive35i, with an MSRP starting at $52,800 and the all-wheel drive X5 xDrive35i starting at $55,100.  The diesel-powered xDrive35d, which produces 255 horsepower and is rated at 31 mpg on the highway, starts at $56,600.  The high-performance, 445 horsepower X5 xDrive50i starts at $68,200.

Standard equipment for the 35i and 35d include 18-inch wheels, adaptive xenon headlights, foglights, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, automatic dual-zone climate control, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, leatherette (premium vinyl) upholstery, 10-way power front seats (with four-way power lumbar), driver memory settings and heated front seats. Electronic features include BMW Assist, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, smartphone app integration, a 10.2-inch central display screen, the iDrive controller, a navigation system, voice controls (navigation), and a nine-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB interface and HD radio.

The X5 xDrive50i is equipped very similarly, though it has 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, 16-way power (“multicontour”) front seats, a rearview camera and a top-down camera system as additional standard features.
