Looking for a 7 seater SUV? You’re not alone. Between the kids, the sports equipment, the groceries, and everything else your life demands, you deserve to have a little extra space.
If you need that additional space, you have two good options: the BMW X5 7 seater and the BMW X7.
The BMW X5
The X5 doesn’t come standard as a 7 seat SUV, but you can certainly get it that way. You just need to select a third row of seats as an option.
There is enough space for some storage with all seven seats upright. Depending on the model you choose, you can get a little over 47 miles to the gallon.
Similarly, performance varies by model, but the xDrive50i comes standard with a 4.4 liter engine and can reach 60 in 4.9 seconds.
The 2020 BMW X7
The X7 offers a standard third row of seats. The company expects this edition to be so popular that they even extended the rear doors to make them a bit larger for easier access to that third row.
U.S. buyers have two models available – the X7 XDrive40i and the X7 XDrive50i. The former comes with an inline 6 with 335 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.
The 50i has a V8 with 456 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It can hit 60 in 5.2 seconds. Both, though, have all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Buyers looking for those seven seats, though, may be more concerned about what’s inside rather than what’s under the hood, and what you’ll find is guaranteed to impress.
You’ll find plenty of space and luxury at every turn. With a 12.3 inch infotainment display, as well as four-zone climate control (the five-zone system is optional on all models) as well as a three-panel panoramic sunroof, this is a beautiful interior. You can also add-on captain’s chairs for the second row, but it does drop the overall capacity of the vehicle.
It also comes with a two-section tailgate with an electric opening and closing mechanism.
Which BMW is right for you? If they’ll both fit your family, come take a test drive today to see which one fits your style!
