There are SUVs and SAVs that combine car-like handling with a bit more room for passengers and cargo alike. And then there’s the 2019 BMW X7. The latest in BMW’s already impressive line of sports utility vehicles, the X7 is the biggest and, some argue, the most luxurious. For a brand built on luxury, that is saying something!

This big SUV has a 122-inch wheelbase, besting the Audi Q7 by over four inches. This not only creates a more comfortable, smooth ride, it increases space for the second and third row passengers. The people lounging in the back are no longer an afterthought!

More SAV (sports activity vehicle) than SUV, the X7 is designed for stellar handling. The optional xOffroad package raises the ground clearance, adds an off-road differential lock, front skid plate, underguard, and off-road modes. The 2019 is not an off-roader – and doesn’t claim to be. What it is is a luxury vehicle with room for family and friends – and it’s a head-turner.

BMW’s gifted the X7 with a bold extra-large kidney grill, LED headlights, stylishly tapered greenhouse (windshield, side and rear windows), longer and larger rear doors for each ingress and egress, and an athletic, dynamic body. You’ll also find a split tailgate for each cargo loading (and a convenient bench if you love tailgating), foldable second and third row seats for more cargo, and dynamic interior lights. If you want to go all out, opt for the Sky Lounge Panoramic Glass Roof with its 15,000 illuminated graphic patterns.

The X7 is available with a turbocharged 3.0 liter inline six with 335 horses or a twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 that generates 456 hp. If you want power, it’s worth the upgrade to the V8.

The 2019 BMW X7 handles like a dream, despite its size, and guarantees a luxurious ride whether you’re commuting to work, taking the family for a trip, or running errands. Stop in and see us to learn more about this big SUV.
